BRANCH TRAINING DAY, 20 NOVEMBER 2022 - CANCELLED

 

AIM:

To encourage and develop pipers and drummers who have attained a basic level and wish to improve their skills and also to enhance the skills of competition level pipers and drummers.

 

VENUE:

Gordon’s School, Bagshot Road, Woking, Surrey GU24 9PT

 

DATE & TIME:

Sunday 20 November from 1000-1600hrs

 

OUTLINE:

2 x piping classes.  Tutors: Angus Ingram and Steve Watterston.  These are not for complete beginners, Students should have the ability to play some tunes in the circle with other pipers.

1 x side drums. Tutor: George Reid

1 x tenor drums. Tutor: Lauren Strimer

The tutors will go through some fairly well known tunes to improve musical expression, timing and accuracy. The day will end with all classes playing together.  

Tea/coffee will be provided but students are requested to bring their own packed lunch.

The Gordon’s School is a working Boarding School and there will be pupils on site.  Attendees are to keep to the designated areas for the training day and not wander around the school grounds.

 

COST PER HEAD:

£20        Students

£30        Players belonging to affiliated Branch bands

£40        All other Players

The Application form on the Branch website includes the Branch bank details for payment.  This should be completed by 13 November at the latest.
